The ultimate aim of policy making should be to improve people’s wellbeing. Drawing on evidence from across Europe, this report explores new ways in which policy can support and encourage high levels of wellbeing, using data from the European Social Survey.
The Green Grin-o-meter is a survey designed by NEF for children asking them about how they feel, and what they do in their day-to-day lives. Based on their answers, it calculates scores in terms of their health, footprint and happiness, and provides advice on how they can better achieve good lives that don't cost the Earth.
